Introduction

Drs Ernst Dekker (www.linkedin.com/in/ernstdekker) is 57, married and lives with his family in the center of Amsterdam. In his spare time, he likes to read, go to the cinema and the theater, enjoy social activities and exercise at the gym.

Experience
Ernst has studied business economics in Groningen. He graduated in 1991 and choose for a corporate career. For fifteen years he held national and international (senior) management positions in larger corporates. At the age of 39 he finished his corporate career and started his own business as an advisor, facilitator and coach. For the last twenty years he has supported organizations, teams and individuals in the field of leadership and development through his executive (team) coaching practice.

During this period, he also finished his second master at the VU (Executive (team)coaching). In his practice, he has specialized in assignments around leadership, inclusion and safety. When we think about inclusion, the topic is mainly discussed from the context of the (work) environment. The DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) policy of many organisations focuses on the context of the organisation as a whole. The question is often: what can 'the organisation' do to make colleagues feel more inclusive? What does this mean for the culture and the strategy and what are the implications in terms of leadership, attitude and behaviour?

Ernst adds another perspective to Inclusion. The personal perspective. Inclusion is not only about the company and its culture, it’s also about you. In his keynote Ernst will focus on what you can do to feel more included. Inclusion starts with I.
