Marco Haan

Marco Haan is professor in Industrial Organization at the University in Groningen. Until this academic year he was the program director of the Master Economics. He did his PhD in Maastricht and does research related to the functioning of markets, in particular on consumer search, platform competition, auctions and gasoline prices, using theoretical, experimental, as well as empirical methods. Recently, he has been studying the Dutch energy price ceiling and its effects on competition. He has acted as an expert witness on cartels and competition in a number of court cases.
