Ester Barendregt

Ester Barendregt leads the Netherlands, Economy, and Sustainability department at RaboResearch. As chief economist, she shapes and communicates RaboResearch's vision on the Dutch economy together with her team.

Ester has twenty years of experience in the financial sector and with the government. She joined Rabobank as an economist in 2015. Previously, she held positions within the Ministry of Finance and at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington. She earned a master's degree in international economics from Maastricht University and also studied for a year at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris.
